Summary Background Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are at substantial risk of malnutrition, which negatively affects clinical outcomes. We investigated the association function assessed hospital admission and effectiveness nutritional support in hospitalized medical patients malnutrition. Methods This is a secondary analysis an investigator-initiated, randomized-controlled, Swiss multicenter trial (EFFORT) that compared individualised usual food on effects mortality subgroups stratified according to time (estimated glomerular filtration rates [eGFR] Results included 1943 2028 (96%) from original known creatinine levels.
